Chrysalis House Healthy Start, Inc. is seeking a part time Residential Coach in our Baltimore location.

The required days and hours for this position are
 Thursday & Friday, 10pm -6am; Saturday & Sunday, 2pm - 10pm; and Monday, 7am -3pm 
(Schedule is flexible and can be negotiated)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Responsible for the residential environment during assigned shift in the absence of the Program Director or Lead Residential Coach.
  • Responsible for carrying out the instructions of Program Director or Lead Residential Coach.
  • Responsible for supervising the clients in the house, outside the area of the facility, etc., following the daily schedule.
  • Plans and conducts recreational activities; supervises work and study programs.
  • Maintains a safe and welcoming house environment.
  • Manages client passes in accordance with current treatment levels.
  • Responsible for mentoring clients - explaining client boundaries, house rules and house operations.
  • Assists in planning and conducting recreational activities; supervises work and study programs.
  • Reports any emergency to the Program Director or Lead Residential Coach immediately.
  • In the event of medical, police, fire, or disaster emergency, follows the applicable emergency procedure.
  • Supervises clients in taking medications, in accordance with self-administered medication policy.
  • Participates in staff meetings and staffing sessions as directed.
  • As assigned, creates new client case records.
  • Updates group attendance, violations, and medication log in case records, as assigned.
  • In conjunction with residential and clinical staff, conducts education and guidance activities as assigned.
  • Assists with child care when necessary.
  • In order to maintain 24 hour facility supervision, may be scheduled to work holidays, and/or provide additional coverage during inclement weather, overnights, or weekends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NONE

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma, GED or a combination of education and experience
  • Experience in human services or education related field highly desirable
  • CPR, First AID, and Med Certification preferred
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Ability to submit to a clear criminal background check and drug screen
