SUMMARY: The Delegating Nurse (DN) will develop and lead a team to include our LPN and Med Techs and provide clinical supervision. Under the DN leadership, the team will work together to implement comprehensive resident care plans that meet the high standards of nursing practice and comply with appropriate CHI regulations.
The DN will provide nursing assessments and care oversight, identify clinical trends, implement corrective action and monitor the accurate delivery of medications to our residents, in addition to working with the residents' physicians and medical personnel on the best plan of action for their continued care. This is a critical role within the CHI community leadership team, and allows for the opportunity to create a dramatic and positive impact on our residents' ability to live an active, vibrant life!

The employee is frequently required to walk; sit and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with medication passes and medication technician qualifications.
- Ensure overall compliance with CHI regulations in regard to nursing services and resident care.
- Works closely with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or to ensure overall compliance within the community.
- Works side-by-side with Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to monitor nursing department as a whole and ensure compliance and highest quality of care is provided
- Vital part of Quality Assurance within the community and documentation of meetings and initiatives to improve resident care.
- Meets regularly with the supportive services, social services, and/or resident to evaluate the service needs.
- Works collaboratively with all other departments to assure delivery of customer related services.
- Manage the auditing process and review nursing notes, physician orders, lab work, and care plans in the residents' charts.
- Issuing nursing or clinical orders, based upon the needs of residents.
- Responsible for being on-site to observe each resident and Med Tech at least every 45 days.
- Performs all other duties as requested.
- A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN Licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- Current and unencumbered Delegating Nurse license in accordance with state requirements or willing to immediately take course.
- 2-5 years of experience as Delegating Nurse in accordance with state requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with varying forms of substances abuse
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate understanding of special treatment needs of women substance abusers in a residential treatment setting and show evidence of empathy, sensitivity, and maturity.
- Must demonstrate highest professional ethical standards and adhere to Chrysalis House Core Values and Code of Ethics.
