SUMMARY: Assists Shift Supervisor and Residential Manager in all duties related to the functioning of residential program and coordinating activities for residents, by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visions, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Residential Coach - Part Time - Saturday & Sunday 3pm - 11pm
SUMMARY: Assists Shift Supervisor and Residential Manager in all duties related to the functioning of residential program and coordinating activities for residents, by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Works in the residential environment during assigned shift.
- Responsible for carrying out the instructions of the Residential Operations Manager.
- Supervises clients in taking medications, in accordance with self-administered medication policy.
- Assume responsibility for supervising the clients in the house, outside the area of the facility, etc., following the daily schedule.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming house environment.
- Enforces program rules in accordance with resident's manual and policy & procedures.
- Manages client passes in accordance with current treatment levels.
- Responsible for mentoring clients - explaining client boundaries, house rules and house operations.
- Transport clients to appointments and AA/NA meetings as needed during hours on duty. Maintains vehicle mileage log for all trips. Runs residential errands, including donation pick-ups, grocery & supply shopping, etc. as assigned by Program Manager.
- Collect urine as required, assuring that all clients pay the fee prior to collecting sample. Drops off urine and fees to the Urine Monitoring Program.
- Report any emergency to the Residential Shift Supervisor, Program director and/or Clinical Director immediately. In the event of medical, police, fire, or disaster emergency, follows the applicable emergency procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED or a combination of education and experience
- Experience in human services or education related field highly desirable
- CPR, First AID certified preferred
- Med Certification preferred
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Preemployment criminal background check
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate understanding of special treatment needs of women with substance abuse in a residential treatment setting and show evidence of empathy, sensitivity and maturity.
- Must demonstrate highest professional ethical standards and adhere to Chrysalis House Core Values and Code of Ethics.
