Chrysalis House’s focus is to aid women through their addiction and mental health treatment, while helping them build a strong foundation in recovery, become better mothers, and learn to be financially stable.

Chrysalis House is seeking a Mental Health/Behavioral Health Clinician to coordinate mental health treatment, substance abuse treatment and education for Chrysalis House, Inc. clients in its Crownsville, Maryland location.

Responsibilities:
Provides individual and group counseling to clients on mental health, addiction and recovery issues.
Collects, organizes and analyzes information about clients through records, tests, interviews, and professional sources, to assess extent of addiction, social, vocational, educational, and psychological problems in order to determine necessary scope of treatment interventions.
With client participation, prepares treatment plans outlining treatment goals and activities.
Functions as part of the Treatment Team by attending staffing, treatment plan reviews etc., to ensue appropriate clinical interventions and ongoing monitoring of client’s progress
Facilitates community service linkage for clients, as defined by client’s individual treatment plan. Makes appropriate referrals for necessary outside services and aftercare programs with the direction and consultation of the Clinical Director and follows up to ensure compliance with referrals.
Participates regularly in individual clinical supervision with Clinical/Program Director.
Keeps abreast of developments in the field. Participates in continuing education as required by license/certification.
Assists with supervision and training of counseling interns if assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum education level is a Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
Must be a Licensed Clinical professional Counselor (LCPC) or an LCSW-C in the State of Maryland however, will consider an LGSW or an LGPGC depending on experience.
Demonstrates knowledge of ASAM and DSM V criteria relative to the assessment of patient needs throughout the course of treatment
Experience in child and family mental health services, including work with abused and neglected children.
Experience and knowledgeable of trauma informed care, including individual, family and group therapy, for children youth and families.
Familiarity with the continuum of care.
Assessment and intervention skills
Ability to deal with crisis and potentially combative patients while maintaining personal and emotional equilibrium.
Knowledge of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health.
